Outings and Trips

Each year we organise a Summer outing for all children, parents and siblings.
The children love having a day out with their friends.  This year, we are returning
to Secretts Hurst Farm in Milford to 'pick our own' fruit and veg.

In previous years, we've visited local farms like Bocketts

(http://www.bockettsfarm.co.uk/) or Fishers (http://www.fishersfarmpark.co.uk/).

We have arranged for the Mobile Arc to visit us again this month (March 2010).
They bring a great variety of baby animals right in to the pre-school for the children to carefully handle and learn about.

In September last year, Krisitan and David, two local Firefighters came to talk
to us about their exciting work. They showed the children how they get dressed super-quickly when the fire bell sounds, answered questions about being a firefighter then showed us around their fire engine and everyone had a squirt
of the powerful hose.

In Autumn, the children dig up bulbs and plant new ones ready for spring.

Last year the older children travelled by coach to Dorking to see The Tiger Who Came To Tea at the theatre.  and the younger children took a trip by bus to Notcutts garden centre where they chose bulbs for planting and visited the cafe. This month we'll be taking the children to Cranleigh Library by bus and parents will be invited to come along too.

We are running our second Family Easter Egg Hunt in March this year. It's a great opportunity for families and siblings to get together and have fun. The children will be spraying the pine cones all different colours during pre-school time and on the day, they'll exhange them for various sized chocolate eggs - when they've hunted them all down.

Sayers Croft (http://www.sayers-croft.org.uk/forkids)  is the local field centre which we enjoy visiting annually.  As you can imagine, the children love pond dipping, catching newts and using magnifying glasses to inspect mini-beasts on the nature trail.
